Cailleach's Smoke | Sun Wakener Incense (Warm Wood + Solstice Orange)

Sun Wakener is a woody citrus incense that captures the feeling of the new sun dawning after the Longest Night of the year. Charged with magick that regenerates you in the season of stillness and channels the searing protection of the Sun, this is a great incense to burn during your solstice and winter rituals, all the way to Imbolc and even the summer solstice! Let this comforting and empowering blend of cedars and oranges bring powerful restoration and protection into your space and solstice rituals.

Our essential oil incense is made by soaking natural brown joss sticks (made with a tree bark) in a blend of aromatic essential oils and a few potent drops of our house-made working oils. It contains no other added chemicals or burning agents.

2026 Update: We're leveling up! Sun Wakener has been updated with blood orange and deodar cedar, making this new recipe a tad brighter and richer.

Ingredients: bamboo stick, joss bark powder [Litsea glutinosa], blood orange essential oil [Citrus sinensis], deodar cedar essential oil [Cedrus deodara], redcedar juniper essential oil [Juniperus virginiana], sweet orange essential oil [Citrus sinensis], sunflower oil [Helianthus annuus]

Each tube contains 20 7" scented joss sticks that burn for about 30-35 minutes each. Only burn in a well-ventilated environment. Please do not leave burning incense unattended.

Some essential oils (cedar, mint, etc.) have compounds that crystallize out of the oil when exposed to cold temperatures. This will make the sticks look frosty or sparkly. It can be wiped off with a dry cloth or burned as-is. It's like a little extra magickal whimsy!
