Cailleach's Smoke | Spruce Tips Incense (Newborn Spruce + Citrus)

I love the smell and taste of evergreens, don't you? As one of the only green things in winter, it's no wonder that this season makes a great time to forage pine, spruce, and eastern hemlock needles for tea and other tasty things. One of my favorite foraged foods is actually a herald that winter is truly ending: the emergence of lemony, bright, and delicious spruce tips!

Spruce Tips is really a scent "accord," a clever mix of essential oils that is meant to capture a scent that might otherwise be hard or impossible to get. The oils in this incense capture that fresh, cool, citrusy smell of newborn spruce tips pretty well, if I say so! A clean and evergreen scent is the perfect antidote to stuffy winter air and a beautiful welcome for the coming spring. This incense is also charged with magick to bolster your discernment and see the truth of things, like how to tackle your coming spring cleaning list... or maybe just what needs dusting and clearing out.

Our essential oil incense is made by soaking natural brown joss sticks (made with a tree bark) in a blend of aromatic essential oils and a few potent drops of our house-made working oils. It contains no other added chemicals or burning agents.

Ingredients: bamboo stick, joss bark powder, Scots pine essential oil [Pinus sylvestris], redcedar juniper essential oil [Juniperus virginiana], sweet orange essential oil [Citrus sinensis], sunflower oil

Each tube contains 20 7" scented joss sticks that burn for about 30-35 minutes each. Only burn in a well-ventilated environment. Please do not leave burning incense unattended.

Some essential oils (cedar, mint, etc.) have compounds that crystallize out of the oil when exposed to cold temperatures. This will make the sticks look frosty or sparkly. It can be wiped off with a dry cloth or burned as-is.
